Homemade Face Masks for Glowing Skin
These homemade face masks for glowing skin will nourish your skin and improve your complexion. They are very simple and easy to prepare. All you need is a few fresh fruits like: banana, strawberry or pineapple and a few other ingredients you can find in your kitchen. They will nourish your skin and remove dead skin cells, leaving you with a fresh, healthy and glowing skin.
Homemade strawberry face mask
Strawberries are full with vitamin C that helps the skin protect itself from environmental damage. Strawberries have a beneficial effect on all skin types especially on oily and combination skin, because of their astringent effect. They will help reduce the oil production and calm the skin, leaving it with a healthy glow instead of an unwanted oily shine.
What you need
» 2 tablespoons of grinded oats
» 3 strawberries
» 1 tablespoon of sour cream
Grind the oats with an electric grain mill into fine oat flour and crush the strawberries with a potato masher or a fork. Put the grinded oats, the crushed strawberries and the sour cream into a bowl and mix everything well. Apply it on your face and let it stay for 15 minutes. Wash it off with cold water.
Homemade pineapple face mask
Bromelain is an enzyme that can be found in fresh pineapples. It has anti-inflammatory properties and may help to speed wound healing, which makes it good for acne prone skin. It will also gently remove dead skin cells from the skin surface leaving your skin perfectly clean. This pineapple mask is great for problematic and oily skin, but it is not recommended for sensitive skin.
What you need
» 1 tablespoon of crushed pineapple
» ½ tablespoon of ground almonds
Mix the ingredients in a bowl and gently rub the mixture with your fingers all over your face using round movements. Rub the oilier areas a little longer. Let it stay on your face for 15-20 minutes. Wash it off with cold water.
Homemade banana face mask
A banana can hydrate, nourish and calm the skin. Bananas are rich in vitamins and minerals including magnesium and potassium, which makes them a perfect ingredient for a nourishing face mask. This banana face mask is best suitable for dry skin. Do not use it on oily skin.
What you need
» 1 fresh banana
» 1 egg yolk
» 2 teaspoon of almond oil
Mix all the ingredients to get a thick mash and apply it on your face. After 15 minutes, start washing the mask off with warm water and finish by washing your face with cold water.
